Clean Path Energy Center LLC
Clean Path Energy Center LLC is a joint venture of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, Western Energy Partners, LLC and SNC-Lavalin Inc. to jointly develop, construct, commercialize and operate a 750MW power generation facility in San Juan County, New Mexico. The facility is a dual-fuel designed and ideally-located combination of a traditional 680 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) co-located with a renewable 70 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) power block. The project expects to be capable of providing essential baseload generation during all hours of the year as well as additional vital peaking capacity during times of higher system loads. The project is currently in advanced stages of development and its commercial operation date is planned to coincide with the retirement of regional coal-fired capacity, offering a cleaner and more efficient source of energy to utilities and other load-serving entities in the Desert Southwest. In its current configuration, the project is expected to become one of the most efficient gas-fired plants in the Western United States.
